Robotic-Assisted Surgery

Dr. Huntsman, Dr. Dalling, Dr. Mennear and their surgical staff are trained and certified on both the Mako and Rosa Robotic Systems. Using these robotic arm assisted systems they are able to:

  • More accurately implant positioning which can result in a more natural feeling after surgery
  • Improve safety and reduce the risk of injury to adjacent tissues
  • Provide better potential for long-term function

Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery

Mako SmartRobotics™ is a robotic surgery assistant that helps surgeons treat joint pain in the knee or hip. It uses a 3D CT-based planning software for orthopedics surgeons to learn more about the injured body part before they go in for surgery. This planning helps the surgeon create a more individualized joint replacement plan.

During surgery, Mako’s AccuStop™ technology will allow the surgeon to follow the exact plan that was made and reduce the amount of cutting to help protect the healthy bone.
